Screen a full stadium before kick-off
Most fans arrive in the last hour before doors or kick-off, carrying bags and phones. CEIA OPENGATE screens them at walking pace in parallel lanes.
Walk-through and hand-held detectors cover the hospitality, artist, media and staff entrances.

What makes stadium and concert screening different
The last hour
Arrivals peak just before doors open, and every slow lane pushes the queue back into the street.
The queue outside the perimeter
A crowd held outside the gate is harder to protect than one moving through it.
Bags, phones and power banks
Divesting everything at a fan gate is not realistic at stadium scale.
Temporary and touring venues
Concerts and tournaments need checkpoints that go up and come down in hours.
Choose the screening for each gate
| Gate | CEIA solution | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Fan gates | OPENGATE, in multi-lane rows | Fans walk through with bags; lanes as close as 0.6 m apart; IP54 for outdoor use in rain and sun; up to 14 hours on four batteries |
| Hospitality, VIP, players and artists | SMD600 Plus or HI-PE Plus walk-through | High-sensitivity screening that ignores belts, coins, keys and watches; HI-PE Plus shows where on the body the target is |
| Media, staff and contractor gates | PMD2 Plus walk-through | Elliptic, panel and heavy-duty builds; the EZHD travels in its own case for touring and temporary venues |
| Alarm resolution | PD240 hand-held | Wide search area for fast secondary checks beside the lane |
| Every gate, one view | CEIA NetID Anywhere | Central monitoring of all OPENGATE units: transit statistics and calibration settings in one place |
Tested in the UK. CEIA OPENGATE has been tested to the UK Discriminative Metal Detection Systems Test Method (October 2020), with NPSA-reviewed results available on request.

Frequently asked
How many lanes do we need?
It depends on your capacity and how fans arrive. We size the lanes from a site survey of your gates and arrival profile.
Can OPENGATE work outdoors in the Gulf?
Yes. It is IP54 rated and designed for indoor and outdoor use, including exposure to rain and strong sun.
How long does it run on battery?
Up to 14 hours with four batteries, and it sets up in under a minute.
Do fans need to empty their bags?
No. OPENGATE is designed to screen people carrying backpacks, purses and bags, with near-zero nuisance alarms. Some venues ask for laptops and large metal items to be carried separately; we agree the procedure with you.
Can we rent it for one concert?
Yes. OPENGATE and walk-through detectors are available on short-term rental, with deployment and staff briefing included.
