Both are built on the same CEIA platform. Choose the SMD600 Plus where the NIJ-0601.02 law enforcement standard is specified; choose the HI-PE Plus for public and institutional entrances, where its 60 zones show exactly where a target sits.
Choose the SMD600 Plus when
- ✓your specification calls for NIJ-0601.02
- ✓you screen in correctional facilities or courts
- ✓you may later add cell-phone detection with the MI2 sensor
Choose the HI-PE Plus when
- ✓the site is a high-throughput public or institutional entrance
- ✓operators need left, centre and right indication to keep secondary searches short
- ✓no law enforcement standard is specified
